At Hoërskool Louis Trichardt, our goal and aim is to educate and teach learners in such a way that they will one day take their place in society as fully-fledged citizens, whether in Christian, national, cultural, economic or social spheres. Every child is important to us, so we strive to meet each one’s specific needs.

Hoërskool Louis Trichardt expects disciplined conduct from all parties involved to ensure a safe and educational environment for both learners and teachers.
Disciplined behavior is expected and is the responsibility of

- each individual learner

Hoërskool Louis Trichardt endorses the establishment of democratic and dynamic education that strongly rejects any form of racism or sexism. The governing body and school management exercise their legal obligations under the South African Schools Act 84 of 1996 to ensure the rights of learners, teachers, and parents, as well as to define the responsibilities of each.
Teachers' Responsibilities
- Act professionally towards fellow teachers, learners, and parents.
- Respect learners and avoid acting in a bad mood or with anger.
- Uphold the application of the best interests of learners standard as stated in the Constitution of South Africa.
Learners' Responsibilities
- Abide by the school’s code of conduct.
- Obey the instructions of staff, senior learners, and adults.
- Act responsibly and uphold the safety and rights of others.
- Respect the property of the school and others.
- Be honest and act with integrity.
- Always be punctual and on time.
- Respect the privacy of others as well as their possessions.
- Accept disciplinary action when it is justified.
Parents' Responsibilities
- Accept the school’s code of conduct.
- Support the school and staff in educating their children, including the application of the code of conduct.
- Support the school’s disciplinary structures and procedures.
- Ensure that learners understand and respect the school rules and code of conduct.
- Ensure that learners complete homework and assignments diligently.
- Protect the good image and reputation of the school within the community and among learners.
